About
Oh, hello!
I’m Cynthia, twenty-three years old, a graduate of McMaster University in Ontario, Canada, with a beloved degree in English. Ambitious and adventurous, last Spring I packed all of my belongings into my tiny Toyota Corolla and travelled 3000 kilometres solo from Ontario to Alberta. I now reside in a small tourist town in the Canadian Rockies. This is the story of my journey, my life, my discoveries, and my lessons learned.
One day I might become a professional writer. Right now I am a literacy and career coach at the local adult learning centre. It’s a pretty sweet gig.
I would love, love, LOVE to meet author, illustrator, and creative genius Keri Smith, along with a number of other equally inspiring people.
Happy Reading!

Hello,
What I’m actually after is an article on how to write effective press releases. My entire site is about producing a fringe show. About the only article I don’t have is on writing a press release because I’ve never been great at writing at them.
The advice in the article would be followed by people who are getting ready to do shows this year.
There’s going to be a blog on my site in the coming months of people who are getting ready to do shows and are detailing how they’re getting on, and sharing tips.
The site is averaging about a 100 views a day at the moment. This is should speed up as the production process gears up.
If that’s not the kind of thing you’re wanting to do then any experiences of fringe festivals you’ve been to or been involved in, in Canada, might well be interesting to my readers. Most of them are involved in the comedy industry in UK , I also have some journalists following what’s going on on the site.
Thanks for you time,
Ian
Hi Ian,
Thanks for your efficient reply, I appreciate it. As I have written several successful press releases, I am confident that I can provide advice that works! I will have an article to you by Tuesday at the latest.
Thanks again for the opportunity!
Regards,
Cynthia Bigrigg
Cynthia, thought I’d drop by your blog to check you out, I love your writing! And did I mention? I love Keri Smith too! As I write this I am finishing up a “wreck this journal”! A post will be done on it soon
I <3 Wreck This Journal! I completed mine during my second year of university and it was a great creative outlet. Thanks for your kind words, and I can't wait to read your next post!
